On August 14, villagers harvested middle-season rice in terraced fields of Zhaihou Village, Jinping Town, Jiahe County. In early autumn, more than 600 mu (40 ha.) of high-quality alpine rice in the village has gradually matured. The orange-yellow rice waves and the cascading terraces contrasted with each other, forming a picturesque countryside harvest scene. In recent years, the county government has made full use of the characteristics of rural areas; organically combined landscape and pastoral scenery with farming culture; created characteristic agricultural industries; and, promoted the integrated development of agriculture and tourism.
